Editorial standards & methodology
cronus2k is a reference library, not a storefront — so trust has to come from process, not marketing copy. This page documents how guides are researched, when they get re-tested, and how corrections are handled.
Standard 01
Independent, not paid placement
Cronus2K does not sell scripts and does not accept payment for favorable coverage or ranking position. Comparison guides disclose when a library is discontinued, unmaintained, or the seller is unresponsive.
Standard 02
Re-tested after every major patch
Timing-sensitive guides (auto-green windows, tempo shot, Rec/Pro-Am tuning) are flagged for review whenever 2K ships a gameplay patch. Articles carry a dateModified timestamp — an unchanged date after a major patch means the guide is still pending re-validation, not that nothing changed.
Standard 03
Source hierarchy
Claims are prioritized in this order: (1) first-hand testing against a documented controller/profile setup, (2) the script provider's own changelog or Discord announcement, (3) corroborated community reports from more than one independent source. Single unverified claims are labeled as such, not presented as fact.
Standard 04
Named entities, not vague hype
Guides name the specific library, mode, and build being discussed (e.g. "Hoops auto-green in Rec Center" rather than "this script"). This is a documentation choice as much as an SEO one — vague claims are usually the sign of a guide nobody actually tested.
Standard 05
Corrections
Factual errors are corrected in place with an updated dateModified, not silently. Material corrections (a claim that was wrong, not just outdated) are noted inline. Report an error via the contact page.
Editorial content is maintained by Cronus2K Editorial (Cronus Zen reference team). See the editorial changelog for a dated history of what changed and when, or report an error.
