Jumpshots & builds

The script times the release. The jumpshot decides how big the window is. Fast and straight wins.

The principle

Fast, straight releases give the widest green windows. Every auto-green page holds Square for a fixed number of milliseconds, so the wider the window around that moment, the more shots land green. A slow or hitchy animation narrows the window and no value can widen it back.

Blend50/50 if you mix two releases

Pick one of the three bases, pair it with matching releases, run the speed slider all the way up. If you blend two releases, split them evenly.

What to avoid

  • Slow bases — Kobe, MJ.
  • Exaggerated wind-ups.
  • Hitchy animations with a pause before the release.

A fixed hold value needs a release that lands in the same place every time. These animations are the ones yew says to stay away from.

Attributes

Prioritise shooting attributes — a 90+ three — over dunk packages. The script does not add rating; it only times the release. Build for the shot you want the script to take.

If you brick with sensible values

The jumpshot is almost always the problem. Before you move a single millisecond:

  1. Confirm the required settings: Shot Timing Shots and Layups, Shot Meter Off.
  2. Switch to one of the three recommended bases at max speed.
  3. Re-tune in online MyCourt with the early → raise, late → lower rule.

Changing the jumpshot changes the release point, so expect to re-tune Auto-Green and the shot-pack values afterwards. That is normal and takes a few minutes.

Guidance on this page is yew's, published for the yew2K NBA 2K27 Cronus Zen script.

Questions

My values look right but I still brick. What now?
Change the jumpshot. yew's guidance is that with sensible values the jumpshot is almost always the problem. Move to a fast, straight release (Oscar Robertson, Steph Curry or Damian Lillard base) and re-tune from there.
Which release speed?
Max. Faster, straighter releases give the widest green windows.
Do I need a high three-point rating?
yew's guidance is to prioritise shooting attributes — a 90+ three — over dunk packages. The script times the release; it does not add rating.
