What it does

Quick Stop runs a quick stop — an L2 no-dip that takes about 23 frames instead of ~37 — and then shoots. Tap the touchpad while moving and the whole thing plays out: stop, pause, delay, shot.

How to turn it on

Hold L2 (LT on Xbox) and press Options (Menu on Xbox). The menu draws on the Zen's OLED, not on the TV. Keep L2 held the whole time you are in it.

  1. Tap D-pad Right to Quick Stop (page 16 / 25). Tap Up/Down to switch it On.
  2. Tap Right to the last three pages: QS Pause (23), QS Delay (24), QS Shot (25). On each, hold Cross (A) and tap Up/Down to set the value.
  3. Release L2. In game, tap the touchpad while moving. On Xbox, check the trigger shown on the Quick Stop page.

yew's own setup zeroes the pause and delay and runs the shot at 705, but leaves the mod Off. If you turn it On, start from the defaults, tune QS Shot with the usual rule (early → raise, late → lower), and only then shorten Pause and Delay until the stop and the shot stop fighting each other.

Button Rhythm sweeps about 10% faster on quick-stop shots. Automatic.

Conflicts & gotchas

  • This is a different thing from Insta-Stop. Insta-Stop fires a stop before any off-the-dribble shot you take yourself; Quick Stop is a complete stop-and-shoot combo on one button.
  • Three of the four pages are at the very end of the menu. Tap Right from Quick Stop (16) past the fades and Step Back to reach them.
  • Pressing X (A on Xbox) bails any running shot combo. The script never drives the left stick — you keep control of movement.
