Patch day

2K patches move timings. yew2K ships weekly updates to match. This is the loop, in order, from the patch dropping to your first Rec game.

The loop

  1. Re-run the Generator on yew.gg. yew2K is generator-based — your settings are compiled into the GPC — so the new build has to be generated for you. Downloads are on the Script Download page, owners only.
  2. Compile and load. Zen Studio → Compiler tab → drag in the .gpc → Compile → drag the compiled script into one of the 8 memory slots → Play (flash icon). Disconnect from the PC, connect the CONSOLE port to the console, controller into A1, pick the slot. The OLED shows the script name.
  3. Check the two settings. Shot Timing Shots and Layups, Shot Meter Off. See required settings.
  4. Validate in online MyCourt. Open the menu, confirm your values are what you expect, then shoot: standstill, catch-and-shoot, left fade, right fade, step back. Read the feedback and apply early → raise, late → lower in 5 ms steps.
  5. Then Rec.yew's advice is MyCourt first, Rec second. Do not tune in a live game.

Why re-generate instead of reloading the old file

The build contains more than your menu values. Fixed bands like the turbo fade window (727–823 ms), the Infinite Stamina mix profile (~88% clamp) and the Button Rhythm context multipliers live in the compiled script, not in the menu. When yew updates them for a patch, the only way to get the change is a fresh build from the Generator.

Cadence

Updates ship weekly through the 2K27 cycle and are free for yew2K owners. 2K27 launched on August 26, 2026. Support and update notices are on yew.gg/discord.

2K+ and early access

2K+ is a one-time upgrade for yew2K owners: it never expires, carries into future 2Ks, adds extra and upgraded mods, gives early access to new mods, and includes 1:1 chat with yew. It is $99.99 one-time when on sale (regular $199.99), with installments available at checkout. It requires yew2K first. Because 2K+ gets new mods early, a 2K+ OLED may show a page this wiki does not cover yet.

Ten-second checklist

  • New build generated and flashed? OLED shows the script name.
  • Shot Timing: Shots and Layups. Shot Meter: Off.
  • Controller in A1.
  • Menu opens with L2 + Options (after the 1500 ms boot lockout).
  • Ten standstill shots in online MyCourt with Shot Feedback on. Early → raise, late → lower.
  • Repeat for the shot-pack pages you use.
  • Rec.

Questions

Do I have to re-download after every patch?
Yes. Re-run the Generator on yew.gg, download the new .gpc, compile it in Zen Studio and flash it to a slot. Loading an old build after a patch is the most common cause of timings that suddenly feel wrong.
Do my menu values carry over?
Values are saved to persistent variables on the Zen. Re-check them on the OLED after loading the new build and validate in online MyCourt before you trust them.
How often does yew2K update?
Weekly through the 2K27 cycle. Updates are free for yew2K owners.
Where do I get help if something breaks after a patch?
