Required in-game settings
The settings
| 2K setting | Set it to | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Shot Timing | Shots and Layups | Required. With anything else the script cannot time shots. |
| Shot Meter | Off | Required. Meter on = narrower green window. |
| Shot Feedback | All Shots | You need early/late on every attempt to tune values. |
| Visual Cue | Jump or Set Point | Pick one and keep it consistent. |
| Pro Stick | Shots and Dribbles, or Shots Only | Shots and Dribbles if you use Dribble Moves; otherwise Shots Only. |
| Controller deadzones | ~5% on both sticks | Raise slightly if you get drift. |
The two that matter most
Shot Timing: Shots and Layups and Shot Meter: Off are the number-one reason people think Auto-Green is broken. The script holds Square for a fixed number of milliseconds. If the game is not timing your shots, or the meter is shrinking the window, no value on the menu can fix it.
Check these two first every time something feels off, and again after every 2K patch before you blame a value.
Why Shot Feedback matters
Every value on the menu is tuned by one rule: early → raise, late → lower. You cannot apply the rule if the game does not tell you which one happened. All Shots gives you a readout on every attempt, including the greens. See What the ms values mean.
Deadzones
Around 5% on both sticks. Standstill Auto-Green fires only when the left stick is inside the centre, and Defense Assist mirrors the left stick onto the right, so a drifting stick shows up as strange behaviour in both. If you see drift, raise the deadzone a little rather than changing shot values.
Where to test
Online MyCourt.Offline MyCourt timing differs from online, so values tuned offline can miss in a real game. yew's advice is to validate offsets in MyCourt and then Rec after each patch. The full loop is on Patch day.
On the Zen side
- Controller in the front A1 USB port. The menu ignores a controller on any other port.
- Rear CONSOLE port to the PS5/Xbox/PC. PROG is only for programming from a PC.
- OLED shows the script name. Gearhead logo means nothing is loaded.
These settings apply to the yew2K NBA 2K27 Cronus Zen script. Support is on yew.gg/discord.
