What the ms values mean

Two kinds of number live in the menu. One is how long the script holds Square. The other is how long Button Rhythm's flick lasts. Here is how to read both and which way to move them.

Two kinds of value

PagesThe number isRange
Auto-Green / StandstillHow long Square is held before release. The right stick stays neutral — timing only.300–900 ms, 5 ms steps
Left Fade, Right Fade, Catch Shoot, Step Back, QS ShotSame thing: the Square hold for that specific shot.100–1200 ms, 5 ms steps
Step DelayWait between the step-back starting and the shot starting.20–1200 ms, 5 ms steps
QS Pause, QS DelayPause before the quick stop; delay before the shot.0–1200 ms, 5 ms steps
Button RhythmHow long the upward right-stick flick lasts after you release Square. Center step of a 6-point ease-in-out sweep.8–80 ms, 1 ms steps

For every auto-green page the number is a hold. Longer hold, later release. That is the whole model, and it is why one rule covers all of them. Minimums differ by page: 100 ms for the shot holds, 20 ms for Step Delay, 0 ms for QS Pause and QS Delay. Every maximum is 1200.

The rule: early → raise, late → lower

EarlyReleased too soonUp (hold longer)
LateReleased too lateDown (release sooner)

Set Shot Feedback to All Shots in 2K so you can read the result of every attempt (see required settings). Take ten shots, move 5 ms in the indicated direction, take ten more. Stop when the misses split roughly even between early and late.

Do this in online MyCourt. Offline MyCourt timing differs, and a value that greens offline can miss online. yew's advice is to validate offsets in MyCourt and then Rec after every patch.

yew's reference values (Sept 3 notes)

These are the numbers yew runs on yew's own build. They are a starting point, not a prescription — the right value depends on your jumpshot.

PageDefaultyew
Button Rhythm35 ms23 ms
Auto-Green (standstill)660 ms710 ms
Left Fade870 ms870 ms
Right Fade820 ms900 ms
Catch Shoot660 ms715 ms
Step Back660 ms710 ms
Step Delay150 ms125 ms
Quick StopOffOff
QS Pause150 ms000
QS Delay150 ms000
QS Shot660 ms705 ms

Notice the spread: standstill 710, catch-and-shoot 715, left fade 870, right fade 900. Different shots release at different times, which is why each has its own page instead of one shared number.

The “Default” column is what the GPC template ships with; the Generator on yew.gg overrides those defaults per buyer, so the numbers on your OLED when you first load a build may already differ.

Button Rhythm is the odd one out

The 8–80 ms range on Button Rhythm is not a hold. It is the length of the stick flick the script performs when you let go of Square. 2K27 grades the tempo of that flick; a snap shrinks the green window, so the sweep eases in and out over six points with your value at the center.

There is no early/late rule here because the mod does not time the shot. yew's guidance: try fades and stand-stills at each value in online MyCourt and keep what feels best. It moves in 1 ms steps; yew runs 23 and the template centers at 35.

Automatic context multipliers

The script adjusts the Button Rhythm sweep for the situation without a menu setting. You do not tune these; you just need to know they exist so a fade and a pull-up feeling different is not a surprise.

SituationSweep
Turbo fades (R2 + fade, Turbo Fades On)~18% slower
Insta-Stop or Quick Stop shots~10% faster
Shots on the move~8% faster
Shot within 400 ms of leaving the move stick (step-back, hop gather)Slightly faster

One more fixed band to know: with Turbo Fades On, an R2 fade uses the turbo hold windows of 727–823 ms instead of the standing value.

What good values get you

yew's framing for auto-green is about 70% with good values. It does not work in every situation and nothing on the menu guarantees a green. If you are well under that with sensible numbers, check the in-game settings first and the jumpshot second. Values are the third suspect, not the first.

This page documents the yew2K NBA 2K27 Cronus Zen script. Ranges and defaults are from the shipping template; your Generator build may differ.

Questions

Shot feedback says early. Which way do I move the value?
Raise it. Early means the script released too soon, so hold Square longer. Late means the opposite: lower the value.
Can I copy yew's values?
You can start from them — they are listed on this page — but they are tuned to yew's jumpshot. Test in online MyCourt and adjust with the early → raise / late → lower rule.
Why do my values feel different offline?
MyCourt offline timing differs from online. Always test in online MyCourt, then confirm in Rec.
Is there a formula from jumpshot to value?
No. yew's own guidance for Button Rhythm is to try fades and stand-stills at each value and keep what feels best. For auto-greens, read the feedback and move in 5 ms steps.
