What it does

SQ Remap is Button Rhythm's raw-shot escape hatch. With Rhythm On, every Square press becomes a rhythm shot. Hold the remap button while you press Square and you get a plain, un-rhythmed Square shot instead — the way the game shoots without the script.

You can set the remap button to L3, R3, L1 or R1. Default is L3.

With Button Rhythm Off, this page shows Off and is inert. There is no rhythm to escape from.

How to turn it on

Hold L2 (LT on Xbox) and press Options (Menu on Xbox). The menu draws on the Zen's OLED, not on the TV. Keep L2 held the whole time you are in it.

  1. Make sure Button Rhythm (page 2) is On.
  2. Tap D-pad Right to SQ Remap (page 5 / 25).
  3. Tap Up or Down to cycle L3 → R3 → L1 → R1.
  4. Release L2. In game, hold that button while pressing Square for a raw shot.

Tuning

Pick a button you are not already using during a shot. The default L3 works for most people because a left-stick click is rarely part of a shooting motion.

What each choice touches

RemapSide effect
L3 (default)None. Auto-Green stays on R3.
R3Auto-Green click moves to L3. R3 becomes the raw-shot hold.
L1Left Fade is triggered by R2 + tap L1. Test both in MyCourt before a game.
R1None documented. Auto-Green stays on R3.

Conflicts & gotchas

  • Setting the remap to R3 is the only choice that moves the Auto-Green click. Everything else leaves it on R3.
  • If the page reads Off and you cannot change it, Button Rhythm is Off. Turn Rhythm on first.
